I'm starting a blog... say what?!

Hi all,

So I have decided to start writing a blog.. why? I'm not exactly sure because I don't think I am very good at writing, haha. I think there is a lot of stress I've encountered recently, so maybe writing could help relieve some stress. First off, I want to give you all a little background about myself.

I'm 26 years old born in the western part of Pennsylvania. I have three sisters and two step sisters. Yes, all girls.. sounds like the perfect house to grow up in. Well, it wasn't the ideal household because you always had hand me downs, and sharing... oh man do I hate sharing things with sisters, haha. I moved quite a bit growing up and finally at the end of 8th grade - we moved to Ellwood City where I attended Riverside High School ALL FOUR YEARS, without moving (AMAZING for my family, haha). I graduated from Riverside in 2005 and moved to good ol' Pittsburgh two weeks after graduating high school to head to college. I moved with my high school friend, Kimberly Smith (Mussey) and lived with her for a good three or four years, at least I think that's how long it was.. I attended Bradford School to obtain an associate's degree in Office Administration in 14 months because I didn't want to attend a four year college. After graduating from Bradford, I went off and entered what people call the "real world". I worked at an employee assistance program for six months and then went to work at a law firm downtown until I decided to further my education because I didn't want to always be the "lowest man" on the totem pole. In January 2008, I ventured back to college at Robert Morris University to obtain my Bachelor's Degree in Accounting. (Not sure why I ever decided this - accounting is my worst nightmare nowadays) While in college, I joined Delta Zeta and made some amazing friends who I am so grateful for. Delta Zeta helped make my college experience a lot better! In December 2010, I graduated with my accounting degree and landed a job at BNY Mellon. I thought life was perfect, but this whole real world thing was quite annoying. I worked at BNY for almost 2 years, and decided I had enough and wanted to look for other options. Finally, in November 2012 I was offered a Pricing Analyst position at Direct Energy. I heard so many amazing stories about this company, and the energy market was said to be one of the best industries to get into at the time. I have been with Direct Energy for almost a year and half, and January 15, 2014 I received news that every single person dreads hearing about their job, I was being let go since the company needed to consolidate the department I am in. I was devastated and currently still am... I can't really wrap my head around it, so it's been causing me a lot of stress... hence why I am writing here... hopefully, it helps relieve some stress.

Now onto a happier note, I am currently counting down the days (103 to be exact) until I get to walk down the "BEACH" to marry my other half... Craig McClintock. We met Super Bowl Sunday (February 6, 2011) at a bar (you usually don't hear many relationships lasting when you meet at a bar - but we were an exception <3)... Steelers were in the Super Bowl playing against the lameo Packers, and unfortunately we lost... The way Craig and I ended up together was definitely fate I believe. Super Bowl Sunday, I guess I gave Craig my Driver's License to "hold onto" and well I left without it. I text him that Monday to see when he could meet me to get it back, and the next day we met up at Carson City Saloon to get my license back. I, the shy girl I am, definitely made the first move - haha.. I told him we should hang out sometime alone. He agreed to it. We got together on Valentine's Day with some friends because we thought it'd be weird to get together and go out somewhere fancy for only knowing each other 8 whole days... well surprisingly enough, it all changed February 14th, 2011... we became "official" - yep Boyfriend/Girlfriend after 8 days... kind of jumping into things pretty fast, well if you read the first sentence in this paragraph, you'll know the rest is history! We are engaged and I am patiently waiting for May 12, 2014 to get here... :) I could not be anymore excited!

Since this is my first blog, and I will sometimes not really know exactly what to write, I am going to allow you all to leave me some suggestions. I plan to write about my fitness journey, everyday life events, and some wedding planning events! Please feel free to look me up on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram! - Goodnight all.
