About Me

I am 27 years old married to my best friend, Craig living in the Pittsburgh area with our two adorable little fur babies, Niko and Bella. I began my fitness journey back in January of 2013. Craig and I had gotten engaged November 16, 2012 so I knew that wedding planning was in full swing. I was determined to get into the best shape of my life for my big day. I began adding exercise to my daily routine, mostly cardio at first, then started to incorporate a healthier eating lifestyle. Although, this was a bit stressful due to the fact that Craig was not into the whole healthy lifestyle just yet, I was able to drop 16 pounds in just four months! I was so excited to finally start seeing results in such a short amount of time.


What happened though, I got so comfortable with my workout routine and nutrition that I ended up staying at a plateau for a good 8 months. I would fluctuate 3-5 pounds and I could never figure out why I couldn't lose anymore. Late November rolls around and I was approached about becoming a health and fitness coach, which I knew absolutely nothing about. I had heard of beachbody but didn't know much about it. I started researching it more and tried to see if this was a good fit for me. When I spoke to Craig regarding it, he thought it was just a waste of money because you could do the same workouts in the gym. Although, Craig did no approve I thought about it some more and after watching Amie's (my coach) progress and other coaches' progress, I knew that this is something I wanted to get into.

On January 28th, I signed up to be a health and fitness coach, and start my journey drinking Shakeology and working out with T25 (Shaun T Workout Program). During the first 5 weeks of beginning T25, I was able to lose 6 inches and three pounds. Although this wasn't a lot, I was feeling awesome. Shakeology had really given me the boost of energy I needed and T25 was changing my body in ways I never thought possible. I was finally gaining back the self-confidence I had lost many, many years ago. 


After T25, I began to do the 21 Day Fix. Although, I could not do this workout to lose weight (due to my seamstress telling me to stop losing weight) I was following the meal plan and workout plan to maintain my weight. This workout helped with definition and was a great variety of workouts. These workouts included an upper and lower body workout, some cardio workouts as well as pilates and yoga workouts. This workout was fantastic for me because I loved lifting weights, and seeing the definition in my arms was AWESOME!

Finally June comes around, and the beautiful celebrity trainer, Chalene Johnson, comes out with her epic new workout program, PIYO!!!! This workout uses nothing but body weight to sculpt your figure! This workout is completely out of my comfort zone but wow, does it do the job good. I am currently finishing up on Week 4 now. I will share with you all my 30 day progress once I get that in! All in all, since  beginning my health and fitness journey almost 20 months ago, I have lost 31.4 pounds and 22.2 inches overall!! I feel much more confident in my skin now, and I am extremely grateful I was strong enough to keep working towards my goals!
